| The Libraries After the iPad and Top Technology Trends professional development seminar was held on Thursday 7 April 2011 at the State Library of Victoria. It was presented by VALA in association with the State Library of Victoria and Public Libraries Victoria Network as part of the Statewide Public Library Development Projects.
Public libraries around the world are redefining their roles and reinventing themselves in order to ensure their survival in a digital world. The iPad is the tipping point, a change that has been described as being as profound as the invention of the printing press. Christine Mackenzie from Yarra Plenty Regional Library presented Public Libraries After the iPad, and John Blyberg from Darien Library in Connecticut, USA, shared his Top Technology Trends. |
